A Make-up Test for anyone who got less than 60% average for Test 1 and Test 2, or who missed either Test 1 or Test 2 will be written on Friday 23 April from 15h20 - 16h20 in the SU. Content: Same as for Test 1 and Test 2. You need to sign the list at lectures to confirm your attendance at this test.
If you write this test, the top 2 tests out of Test 1, Test 2 and the Make-up Test will count towards your class mark, but the mark will be capped at 60% (since people with marks of 60% and more will not get a chance to write the make-up test and improve their marks).
Test 3 on 12 May will still count 30% of the class mark.
To see your test results, go to the Student Central website: http://sc.ukzn.ac.za
Class Mark = 10% (Quiz Average) + 30% (Test 1 %) + 30 %(Test 2 %) + 30 %(Test 3 %)
A class mark of at least 35% is needed to obtain a DP ('Duly Performed' to be allowed to write the exam).
The exam counts two-thirds of the final mark; the class mark counts one-third.
