RESEARCH INTERESTS: Mathematics Education.
I am currently working towards a MSc in Mathematics Education, looking at identifying and
remediating difficulties that students experience with first year Mathematics. I attended
the annual AMESA (Association of Mathematics Educators in South Africa)
congresses in Durban in July 2002 and Cape Town in July 2003; the SAARMSTE
(Southern African Association of Research in Mathematics, Science and
Technology Education) conference in Swaziland in January 2003; and the
Soul-in-Education conference in Pietermaritzburg in July 2004. CURRENT TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS:
